The Rebirth of Villa Manodori

In the heart of Roncolo di Quattro Castella, Reggio-Emilia, Villa Manodori, a 19th-century estate, has been meticulously restored by Austrian entrepreneur Julia Prestia and the architects Davide Conconi and Elisabetta Fulcheri at DC | EF Studio.

This historic residence, set within a sprawling 130-hectare park, has been redesigned with iconic Molteni&C furnishings in a ravishing confluence of past and present.

Original tapestries, period frescoes, and hand-painted coffered ceilings adorned with late 16th-century motifs set the historical tone. Adding a layer of modernity, iconic Molteni&C pieces from the 20th and 21st centuries complement the decor, seamlessly merging old and new throughout the villa.

The timeless Round D.154.5 chair by Gio Ponti and Patricia Urquiola's modern Glove chair grace an opulent sitting room in a compelling dialog with the historical frescoes.

A touch of the contemporary is given by the Elain armchair by Vincent Van Duysen and the Chelsea armchair by Rodolfo Dordoni, bringing warmth to quiet corners and an intimate seating area with their enveloping forms.
