Ratio, new kitchen collection by Vincent Van Duysen

Ratio kitchen made by steel, sophisticated wood and marble

Vincent Van Duysen’s approach for his second collection is solid, based on the presence of building-like compositional forms and on the skillful use of the materials of which he is an undisputed interpreter. Hence Ratio, a modular kitchen where structure is the undisputed protagonist. Metal grids define the basic architecture, wall units, columns, hoods and accessories. Full volumes, empty volumes and tops of different thicknesses are hooked to the slender and minimal techno/structural elements, creating an elegant interplay of balances.

In addition to the traditional linear compositions, Vincent Van Duysen proposes corner solutions, central islands and accessory units designed to satisfy the most discerning and sophisticated users. Completing the project are snack counters as well as perfectly integrated, innovative washing and cooking solutions.
Material research is oriented to warmth and to Mediterranean features, with a pleasing alternation between sophisticated woods like Mooreiche oak and the black palm and natural stone like silk georgette marble and natural stones such as silk georgette marble and rapolano travertine, interspersed with sophisticated metals such as bronze aluminum.

“The kitchen is developed over two layers: the structural layer, consisting of the uprights, and the surface layer. The interplay of vertical and horizontal lines gives the product a strikingly graphic and architectural expression, characterised by the scansion of the vertical uprights and by the doors and rear surfaces.” Vincent Van Duysen
